Virtual Event
The Conflict and Resilience Research Institute screened three films during the month of September. Each event included a panel discussion before the film screening and closing remarks afterwards.

Be The Change
Virtual Event
Be The Change is usually an exciting in-person event. This year, we transformed Be The Change to be completely virtual by bringing aspects of the live event onto a virtual platform. Live speeches and performances were showcased to an audience eager to take part and witness many cultures coming together to celebrate from the comfort of their own home.

Peace Walk
Hybrid Event
This annual event usually gathers students from across Manitoba to an immersive day of learning about peace. This year, a comprehensive Teacher Resource Guide was created with activities and lesson plans for the classroom. The activities ranged from storytelling videos, poetry reading, classroom art kits, and an amazing video on how to create a stop motion video. The Guide’s organization and activities made it possible for students to learn and interact with each other while maintaining a healthy distance.

Singing For Peace
Hybrid Event
Laurelle Caplinski, a mezzo-soprano, sang five uplifting broadway songs accompanied by Lisa Rumpel playing piano in a beautiful church in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba. The event was livestreamed from within the church while attendees enjoyed the performance from home and sang along!
